When a Matter Needs an Expert Witness
Most of the people who visit this site are not currently in litigation, and most of what I do here — helping recognize, document, remove, and prevent online defamation — doesn't require a lawsuit at all. But some matters do end up in court: a business suing over a coordinated review-bombing campaign, an individual pursuing a John Doe action against an anonymous poster, or a dispute where online content plays a role in a larger employment or business case. In those situations, attorneys retain me as an expert witness on the technical side of the matter.
This is a smaller, separate part of my work from the day-to-day reputation help described elsewhere on this site, but it draws on the same underlying background: more than 25 years working with search engines, online platforms, and internet investigations.
